OBJECTIVE
Every team should build a working prototype or demonstration, not just an idea.
TYPES OF ACCEPTABLE PROTOTYPES
Participants must produce at least one:
- Software Prototype: Mobile app, Web platform, Dashboard system
- Hardware Prototype: IoT device, Energy system, Mechanical model
- Physical Product: Recycled product, Manufacturing output, Industrial model
- Simulation Demo: System workflow, Interactive mock system
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Each prototype should:
- Solve a clear problem
- Be testable (demo-ready)
- Show how users interact with it
- Have basic functionality
EXAMPLES
Here are some examples of acceptable prototypes:
- App with login + core function
- Sensor showing live data
- Physical product sample
- Working dashboard
WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
Submissions that do not meet the minimum requirements will be rejected. Examples of unacceptable submissions include:
- PowerPoint without demo
- Idea without prototype
- Copy of existing product without value addition
DEVELOPMENT TIPS
Here are some tips to help you develop a successful prototype:
- Start with a clear problem statement
- Focus on the user experience
- Test your prototype with real users
- Use available tools (no perfection needed)
FINAL PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS
Each team must present their prototype in a live demonstration format, showcasing its functionality and user interaction.
SUCCESS TARGET
The goal is to create a functional prototype that addresses a real-world problem and demonstrates potential for impact.
NUMBER OF TEAM MEMBERS
The team must have between 1 and 3 members.
DEADLINE
Submission will end on 4th of May, 2026, 4:00 PM
SHORTLISTING DATE
Qualified candidates for the May 23, 2026 final will be published on 6th of May, 2026.
Those sholisted will be matched with mentors who will guide them in the final stage.
